Bio
Based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Mahde Hasan is an introspective and visually keen screenwriter and director. His short film I Am Time and Death of a Reader was showcased at 69th & 71st Locarno Festival in the Open Doors Screenings section and he placed first for his short Where is the Friend's Home in the movieofmylife section at 70th Locarno Festival. He participated in the Open Doors Hub 2018 an international co-production platform at Locarno and got the development grant from CNC for his debut feature Sand City. Sand City was also part of Produire au Sud, Nantes and La Fabrique Cinema, Cannes and Film Bazaar, Goa.
